Don’t do this at airport – DD Series #2

Don’t Do This at Malaysian Airports βœˆοΈπŸ‡²πŸ‡Ύ Things I learned from my own experience 1. β€œAirport water is not free!” 😜 Inside the airport, drinking water is available at free water dispensers. So don’t panic and buy a bottle immediately. β€œNahi? Nahi paranja nahi!” πŸ˜‚ 2. Check your flight date properly! Flight at 00:20 means it’s technically the next day. If your flight says 12:20 AM on the 8th, you need to reach the airport on the 7th night. Otherwise… 8th date nokki irunnal pani kittum! πŸ˜‚ 3. KL Airport means KLIA 1 or KLIA 2 β€” check properly! Don’t just tell the driver, β€œKuala Lumpur Airport.” Make sure you know whether you’re flying from KLIA Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. 4. Don’t depend on buying a SIM at the airport. Airport SIMs can be expensive. Compare options and, if possible, arrange your SIM/eSIM beforehand. 5. Don’t suddenly decide to use the toilet when food service starts! πŸ˜‚ Especially on budget flights, the aisle can get blocked with the trolley. β€œBatik Air-il njanum monum stuck aayittundu!” πŸ˜… Flight-il food service thudangiyal… Abu, aruthu! πŸ˜‚ 6. Don’t just stand staring at the counter. πŸ‘€ At Malaysian airports, counters can change quickly. Keep an eye on the screens. If a new counter opens, move quickly. 7. Don’t use your phone while going through immigration. Immigration is not the place for selfies, videos or scrolling. Keep your phone away and follow the officer’s instructions. 8. Parents/elderly travellers need proper guidance β€” not unnecessary fear. ❀️ Don’t scare them by saying, β€œImmigration-il ithu cheythal pani paalum!”At the same time, don’t leave them completely clueless. Explain things calmly: where to stand, when to look at the camera, when to remove glasses, etc. Awareness aanu vendathu, pedi alla. 9. Passport cover + coffee = risky combination. β˜•πŸ˜‚ Passport is your most important travel document. Keep it safely inside your bag instead of casually placing it next to your coffee. 10. Don’t assume the centre seat is okay. 😐 If you have a choice, try for a windowΒ  seat. Long flights + centre seat = Lifetime Memory:)”

One Day Tour to Genting Highlands – French Village & Batu Caves

Our today’s trip is to a hill station which is also one of my personal favorite place in Malaysia – Genting Highlands. Best time to visit noon to evening. If you are in package or booking a taxi, make the trip 11AM to 7PM orΒ  12 to 8, to get the awesome evening vibe in cable around 6PM and if include French village, starts trips slightly early. I would say Genting as the world of chilling super cool climate along with eye refreshing greenery in Malaysia. To make it a happening world there do have large number of restaurants, casinos, indoor park, wild variety of shopping areas, skyway cable car and much more. Even some people use to stay here for one day. Genting Highlands is a place where people, songs and games come alive 24 hours a day. The outdoor park is now ready after restructuring from 2013 onwards to make it to one of the best in the world a kind of Disney world they say. One of the best parks in Asia.\ πŸŒ„ Morning – French Village Breakfast at the hotel Depart for Bukit Tinggi Visit Colmar Tropicale Resort, Berjaya Hills – the charming French-inspired village surrounded by lush tropical hills. Photo stops and free time to explore the village 🚑 Afternoon – Genting Highlands Continue to Genting Highlands Enjoy the scenic Awana SkyWay cable car ride through the rainforest. Explore Resorts World Genting Free time for shopping, entertainment and sightseeing Optional attractions: Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park or Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park After enjoying Genting hill top, our next tour plan is to visit the beautiful Chinese temple.Β  πŸ›• Evening – Return via Batu Caves Descend from Genting Highlands En-route visit Batu Caves. Photo stop and short visit Return to Kuala Lumpur hotel Genting Glass Floor Picture: Chin Swee Temple taken by AM. (Details on next blog) MD – Note The PointπŸ“Œ –> “Knowledge is Power. Information is Our Weapon. Memories are Our Legacy.” πŸ›• Batu Caves: Visit in the evening to avoid the heat. Best to cover it on the return from Genting. 🚑 Genting Cable Car: Choose the Glass-Floor Cable Car for an amazing experience, scenic views & Special Queue access.Β  *You cannot bring bag or camera inside Casino and also you must be above 21 years old. *Genting Highlands established by late Chinese businessman Lim Goh Tong *The temperature in GH during day time will be around 15-22 degree & night it could drop to 12. *Genting “First World Hotel” is the hotel with largest number of rooms in the world (7531 room – 7 hotels). *Location: Genting highlands, Pahang Nearby Attractions / Facilities: *Chin Swee Temple *Strawberry Park *Shopping (Premium outlets) *Food (Muhibah Kitchen – details below) *Money Changer (WIP) French Village Tour Last but not least:πŸ“ŒMD Bonus Tip: – Don’t forget to sit with a relaxed mindset to feel the beats of this place at least for 10 minutes ❀️ “While pausing for photos at designated spots, also take a moment to absorb the beauty of the place directly in front of you.
