Here are some of my personal suggestion for you to experience Malaysia food. Nasi Lemak (Fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk, Sambal (spicy chili paste) Fried crispy anchovies, Roasted peanuts, Boiled egg, Cucumber slices) Char Kway Teow Ingredients: Flat rice noodles, Light and dark soy sauce, Eggs, Bean sprouts, Chinese chives, Prawns, Chinese sausage, Cockles, Garlic and chili paste). Satay (Chicken, Beef, Mutton) Ingredients: (Marinated meat skewers (chicken, beef, or mutton), Marinade: turmeric, lemongrass, garlic, shallots, sugar, Served with: peanut sauce, cucumber, onions, rice cakes (ketupat) Maggi George’s (Fried Maggi) -> Ingredients: Instant Maggi noodles, Eggs, Vegetables (like cabbage, carrots, spring onions), Soy sauce, chili sauce • Optional: Tofu, fried chicken, or seafood Chicken Rice Ingredients: Poached or roasted chicken, Fragrant rice cooked in chicken broth with garlic and ginger, Chili sauce, soy sauce, garlic-ginger paste, Cucumber slices • Optional: Chicken soup on the side Banana leaf rice Ingredients: • White rice, Assorted vegetable sides (pickles, cucumber salad, etc.), Various curries (usually fish, chicken, or dhal), Fried papadum, Spicy condiments like chutney or pickle • Optional: Fried chicken, mutton curry, or fish Ramly Burger Ingredients: Burger patty (usually beef or chicken), Egg (wrapped around patty), Margarine, Burger bun, Worcestershire and soy sauce mix, Lettuce, mayonnaise, chili sauce, and seasoning Hokkien mee Ingredients: Thick yellow noodles and rice vermicelli, Prawns, squid, fish cake, Pork slices or lardons (optional), Soy sauce, oyster sauce, Garlic, egg, sambal, lime, Broth made from prawn shells and pork bones Cendol Ingredients: Shaved ice, Pandan-flavored rice flour jelly (green cendol), Coconut milk, Palm sugar syrup (gula melaka), Red beans or sweet corn (optional) Curry Mee Ingredients: Yellow noodles or rice vermicelli, Spicy coconut curry broth, Tofu puffs, cockles, prawns, chicken, Bean sprouts, Boiled egg, Mint leaves, sambal.
